Claims Conference Reaches Landmark Agreement with Germany to Assist Child Survivors of the Holocaust

September 15, 2014 – The Claims Conference has reached a landmark agreement with the German Finance Ministry under which the organization and the German government will together provide assistance to Jewish child survivors of the Holocaust.

“The joint fund will recognize survivors worldwide who were in camps, ghettos, hiding and false identity for psychological and medical trauma caused during their deprived childhoods,” said Claims Conference President Julius Berman.

Juli 2012  Die Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany (Claims Conference) freut sich, die Ausweitung der Berechtigungskriterien des Hardship Fund auf die Gebiete Osteuropas ankündigen zu dürfen. Dies ist ein seit langem verfolgtes Ziel, das die Claims Conference in ihren Verhandlungen mit der Deutschen Regierung verfolgt hat, um ein Mindestmaß an Gerechtigkeit für jüdische Opfer des Naziregimes zu erreichen, die bisher keine Leistungen erhalten haben. Berechtigte Antragsteller können eine Einmalzahlung in Höhe von 2.556 € erhalten.
